St. Croix Swim Club was founded in August 2000, in the Stillwater, Minnesota area. We are a year-round competitive swim team offering professional coaching for the novice through highly experienced swimmer. We have four levels of instruction and training. Each of the four levels has specific objectives and goals that follow a logical progression. Coaches are responsible for placing swimmers in the appropriate level based on a swimmer's ability.
Our Chief Executive Officer & Head Coach is a two-time Olympian, Olga Espinosa. Under her direction, our coaches create an environment that reinforces self-esteem, fosters good sportsmanship, encourages physical fitness and demonstrates respect for others. The coaches focus on promoting the sport of swimming by encouraging each swimmer to reach his or her highest potential in a challenging and fun atmosphere.
Although we may not be the biggest swim club in the Twin Cities Metro Area, we have the BEST coaches, and we're not afraid to brag about them! St. Croix Swim Club is a non-profit club with an elected Board of Directors. Our board is made up of parents and/or guardians of our swimmers who are willing to donate their time to help maintain a well rounded competitive swim club. Members of the St. Croix Swim Club are encouraged to be actively involved in club activities. Volunteerism is vital to our success.
Our goal is to promote the sport of swimming and encourage all swimmers to reach their highest potential through a challenging and fun atmosphere. Swimmers train in a safe and supportive environment that reinforces self-esteem, motivation, good sportsmanship, physical fitness and respect for others.
